第八十一章
EN
True words are not beautiful;
JA
信言は美ならず、

Beautiful words are not true.
JA
美言は信ならず。
EN
He who has virtue does not argue;
JA
善なる者は弁ぜず、
EN
He who argues does not have virtue.
JA
弁ずる者は善ならず。
EN
He who knows is not learned;
JA
知る者は博からず、
EN
He who is learned does not know.
JA
博き者は知らず。
EN
The sage does not accumulate things –
JA
聖人は積まず。
EN
Since through serving people, the more one has;
JA
人の為にして己は弥いよ有り、
EN
Since through giving to people, one has even more.
JA
人に与えて己は弥いよ多し。
EN
The Way of heaven benefits and does not cause harm.
JA
天の道は利して害せず。
EN
The Way of the sage acts yet does not strive.
JA
聖人の道は為して争わず。
