第二十三章

Minimal words are naturally so.
JA
希言は自然なり。
EN
Therefore : strong winds do not last the entire morning,
JA
故に飄風は朝を終えず、
EN
Sudden rains do not last the entire day.
JA
驟雨は日を終えず。
EN
Who makes these things? Heaven and earth.
JA
孰かこれを為す者ぞ。天地なり。
EN
Even heaven and earth can not maintain them forever,
JA
天地すら尚お久しきこと能わず、
EN
And so how much less can people?
JA
而るを況んや人に於いてをや。
EN
Therefore : of those who engage in Dao –
JA
故に道に従事する者は、
EN
He who Daos is one with Dao.
JA
道に同ずる者は道と一つなり。
EN
He who Des is one with De.
JA
徳に同ずる者は徳と一つなり。
EN
He who loses is one with the loss.
JA
失に同ずる者は失と一つなり。
EN
For he who is one with Dao,
JA
道に同ずる者には、
EN
Dao is also pleased to have him.
JA
道もまたこれを得るを楽しむ。
EN
For he who is one with De,
JA
徳に同ずる者には、
EN
De is also pleased to have him.
JA
徳もまたこれを得るを楽しむ。
EN
For he who is one with loss,
JA
失に同ずる者には、
EN
Loss is also pleased to have him.
JA
失もまたこれを得るを楽しむ。
EN
If you do not trust enough, then you will not have
JA
信足らざれば、
EN
anyone’s trust.
JA
信ぜられざるなり。
