Holding fast to the great image,

大象を執れば、

The entire world comes towards you.
JA
天下往く。
EN
Comes towards you, and meeting with no harm,
JA
往きて害あらず、
EN
There is the greatest peace and calm.
JA
安平泰なり。
EN
Music together with good food make passing guests stay,
JA
楽と餌とは過客をも止まらしむ。
EN
But Dao’s words are bland!
JA
されど道の口より出ずるは、
EN
They are without flavor.
JA
淡としてそれ味なし。
EN
Look for it, there is not enough to see.
JA
これを視れども見るに足らず、
EN
Listen for it, there is not enough to hear.
JA
これを聴けども聞くに足らず。
EN
Use it, there is not enough to exhaust.
JA
これを用いれども既すべからず。
