第九章
EN
Holding and filling it
JA
持して盈たすは、
EN
Are not as good as your stopping short.
JA
その已むるに如かず。
EN
Hammering and sharpening it
JA
揣りて鋭くするは、
EN
Can not be forever maintained.
JA
長く保つべからず。
EN
When gold and jade fill a room,
JA
金玉堂に満つれば、
EN
There is no one who can protect it.
JA
よくこれを守る者なし。
EN
To have wealth and high rank, but with arrogance –
JA
富貴にして驕れば、
EN
Then naturally their loss is your own fault.
JA
自らその咎を遺す。
EN
When the task is successful, the self should let go of it.
JA
功成り身退くは、
EN
This is the Way of heaven.
JA
天の道なり。
