第三十七章
EN
Dao ever-constantly practices non-action,
JA
道は常に無為にして、
EN
Yet nothing is left undone.
JA
而も為さざるなし。
EN
If nobles and kings could maintain it,
JA
侯王もしよくこれを守らば、
EN
The ten thousand creatures would naturally transform.
JA
万物将に自ら化せんとす。
EN
Transform, and if desire arises,
JA
化して欲起こらば、
EN
I would restrain it by means of the nameless uncarved
JA
吾これを鎮むるに無名の
EN
block.
JA
朴を以てせん。
EN
In the state of the nameless uncarved block,
JA
無名の朴に在りては、
EN
Men also would be without-desire.
JA
それまた将に無欲ならん。
EN
Not desiring, thus they would be still –
JA
欲せずして以て静なれば、
EN
And the world would naturally settle.
JA
天下将に自ら定まらんとす。
