第六十九章
EN
Those who command troops have a saying :

用兵に言あり、
EN
I dare not act like the master, but instead act like a guest.
JA
吾敢えて主と為らずして客と為り、
EN
Dare not advance an inch, but instead retreat a foot.
JA
敢えて寸を進まずして尺を退く。
EN
This is called marching without marching,
JA
これを行くに行くことなく、
EN
Seizing without using your arms,
JA
攘ぐに臂なく、
EN
Routing without having an enemy,
JA
仍ぐに敵なく、
EN
Defending without using weapons.
JA
執るに兵なしと謂う。
EN
There is no misfortune greater than underestimating the
JA
禍は敵を軽んずるより
EN
enemy.
JA
大なるはなし。
EN
By underestimating the enemy, I nearly lose my treasures.
JA
敵を軽んずれば幾ど吾が宝を喪う。
EN
Therefore : when armies on opposing sides are evenly
JA
故に抗兵相い
EN
matched,
JA
若しければ、
EN
Then they who mourn will be victorious!
JA
哀しむ者勝つ。
