第七十九章
EN
Harmonize a great resentment,
JA
大怨を和すれば、
EN
And there must exist some remaining resentment.
JA
必ず余怨あり。
EN
How can this be considered good?
JA
安んぞ以て善と為すべけんや。
EN
Thus the sage :
JA
ここを以て聖人は、
EN
Holds the left side of an agreement,
JA
左契を執りて、
EN
But does not demand payment of people.
JA
人に責めず。
EN
Therefore : to have De is to take charge of your
JA
故に徳ある者は
EN
agreements;
JA
契を司り、
EN
To be without De is to take charge of taking away from
JA
徳なき者は
EN
others.
JA
徹を司る。
EN
The Way of heaven, while without favor,
JA
天道は親なく、
EN
Is always with virtuous people.
JA
常に善人に与す。
